Friends assist trail users

With four cycling ladies wishing to experience all of what the popular O’Keefe Rail Trail offers, they had planned to only ride in one direction. Hence the plans required transport for the return direction.

To the rescue came the Friends of the Bendigo-Kilmore Rail Trail, following an enquiry, offering transport for the ladies and their bikes. The ride experience included a little stop over in Axedale, lunch on the shores of Lake Eppalock, and the ladies finished off their day with a visit to Palling Bros Brewery in Heathcote.

Along with the assistance provided by Friends member Col, the community group’s bike trailer was put to good use helping to finish off a great adventure for the cycling visitors.
