The annual Maiden Gully Autumn Festival returned to Balgownie Estate Winery, drawing crowds for a day of local celebration, live music, and community engagement. Among the many stalls and activities, the Friends of the Bendigo-Kilmore Rail Trail (FBKRT) hosted an information stand to promote the ongoing efforts in trail development and community involvement.

FBKRT’s presence at the festival aimed to raise awareness about the O’Keefe Rail Trail and the proposed Wallan to Heathcote Rail Trail and Heathcote-Rushworth Trail. Volunteers provided information on trail history, upcoming projects, and membership opportunities.

“Engaging with the community at events like this is crucial for our mission,” said Tim Laugher, FBKRT Vice President. “It allows us to share our vision and gather support for trail development that benefits everyone.”
