With another New Years Eve celebrations having now concluded, this may have some people reflecting on the past as well as anticipating the new year ahead.

The proactive Friends of the Bendigo-Kilmore Rail Trail community group continues to ‘tick a lot of boxes’ each year, some easily remembered whilst others can drift from memory. The above collage is just a small slice of some recent memories, as reflections from 2024!

To jog the memory, included here are also some reflections from two past years, highlighting the Friends group’s social activities, working bees, supporting community events, undertaking grant funded projects, interactions with local governments, as well as lobbying political and community representatives.

‘Past reflections’ from 2018

This community group places its membership as its first priority, both for their involvement and contributions towards the group’s operation and achievements.

‘Past reflections’ from 2022

Each year, the group has a number of goals to achieve, with the group’s Action Teams contributing to achieving goals and progressing others. These goals usually relate to projects, activities, social media communications, planning, financial/grants, and attracting new members. With the current executive setting a course for 2025, navigating this will help achieve goals and growth for the year ahead.
