What better way to spend time with friends than to cycle a rail trail! So before Summer Daylight Savings ends in Victoria, members of the Friends of the Bendigo-Kilmore Rail Trail headed off to experience the High Country Rail Trail.

Based at Ebden, the group enjoyed three days of riding, as well as lunching at local cafes, dining out for dinner, swimming, plus important socialising at ‘happy hour’ to end a day on the bike.

At Shelley, and ready to ride!

Assistance was also provided by the members of the Tallangatta based High Country Rail Trail Advisory Group, who transported both bikes and riders from Ebden to Shelley. Not only was Shelley the Victorian Railways’ highest railway station, but the one way 70km ride to Tallangatta and finishing in Ebden was also mostly ‘down hill’ for the riders!🚴🚴‍♂️⛰️
