Sharing a ride with friends can be a special memorable occasion. Friends of the Bendigo-Kilmore Rail Trail members gathered for such a ride on September’s last Wednesday of the month.

With 19 members primed for an adventure, cyclists met at Lake Weeroona and initially headed north along the Bendigo Creek Trail. It was then onto sections of the Bendigo Bushland Trail, and the Bellzebub Track that had the group exploring the amazing Whipstick Forest and old mining workings.

From Lightning Hill, it was onto Mulga Bill Bicycling Trail with this leading the riders out of the natural forested areas into suburbia. Onto the Lake Neangar Trail giving the cyclists a clear view across the open water while enjoying a coffee break. The riders then meandered along some of Eaglehawk’s urban streets to join the next trail.

The last trail of this ride activity was the Long Gully Trail, which had the cyclists heading back towards Lake Weeroona, so ending a memorable day.
