Wondering what it would be like to walk through some amazing remnants of trees and wildflowers that once could be seen across the landscape in the Wallan and Wandong area of the Great Dividing Range?

Dig out your walking shoes, as there will be a ‘Wildflowers Walk’ on the 24th September in the Hidden Valley Rail Reserve. This activity will be presented by:
Wallan Environment Group
Mitchell Bicycle Users Group
Friends of the Bendigo-Kilmore Rail Trail

A view along the former railway alignment

The reserve has a very diverse range of indigenous plants, including many lilies, orchids, and other wildflowers, and significant remnants of the native vegetation that once covered the surrounding area. A community driven initiative is for this reserve to be incorporated into a proposed Wallan to Heathcote Rail Trail.

The meeting place is at the end of Lucca Way in Hidden Valley, and the guided walk will commence at 10 am sharp. https://maps.app.goo.gl/7kiZDR1pqq2MDJVF8
