Previous days of thunderstorm weather did not deter Friends of the Bendigo-Kilmore Rail Trail members gathering at 8.30 am for a Wednesday Ride through the Wellsford Forest. Ride leader Tim led the group through the forest tracks, which were surprisingly good despite the heavy rain the previous day.

The forest was looking lush and green after the rain, with a few big puddles and muddy spots needing to be navigated, although the riders did get a bit splattered while enjoying themselves.

Gathering for a long chat and coffee at the Axedale Tavern, it was then back along the O’Keefe Rail Trail to the Junortoun carpark starting point. With a total of about 38kms of cycling, it was smiles all around from the riders.
