Need some ‘escape’ planning ideas and information?

With the O’Keefe Rail Trail now providing a continuous trail connection between Heathcote, Axedale and Bendigo, this trail is attracting an increasing number of users every week. Of course with the improving seasonal weather conditions (yet unfortunately low rain falls) in central Victoria, many are planning their next ‘escape’ trip to include walking or cycling this the newest Victorian continuous rail trail.

To assist with this planning, there is now a Brochures and Maps page on this web site. Such provides a trail map, plus an O’Keefe Rail Trail brochure that has been designed as an informative package, both produced by the City of Greater Bendigo’s Tourism Unit. Also two additional brochures, covering the volunteer Friends of the Bendigo-Kilmore Rail Trail group as well as a future trail vision. Both are provided by the Friends group, and available from that same page.

Additional tourist information related to this trail can also be obtained from Bendigo Tourism, the Bendigo Visitor Information Centre, www.Heathcote.org.au, and the Heathcote Visitor Information Centre.
